OUR STORY

COCOA Coffee House started off as a dream.  We both left our corporate jobs and got married in the winter of 2011.  After touring a few cities in Europe where we fell deeply in love with coffee shop culture we moved to Eleuthera, The Bahamas to begin our life together.

 

Newly married, ‘retired’ and unable to shake the coffee vibe, we decided to open COCOA a year later in Harbour Island in the Winter of 2012.  We started COCOA because we felt our community needed neutral ground, a friendly place to be creative and unite over common interests.  And not to forget, great coffee.

 

Within 18 months of serving coffee at our Harbour Island location we saw the need to grow our business.  This lead us throughout the family of islands and we finally landed in Nassau, The Bahamas at a 650+ square foot location.  More than double our home store.  COCOA Nassau was born in the fall of 2014.

 

In 2015 we expanded our menu offerings in Harbour Island to include food, healthy smoothies, açai bowls and juices.  COCOA made healthy choices more accessible in Harbour Island.  Now, our mission is to make healthier choices more accessible wherever we are.  Our goal is to have both of our locations serving 100% organic juices, smoothies, health foods, açai bowls and great breakfast and lunch options.  And not to forget, great coffee.
